On 14 January, Cities Changing Diabetes partners in China were invited to participate in a roundtable on health communication for the Ageing Society in Beijing.

Cities Changing Diabetes work with vulnerable elderly praised at a roundtable for the Ageing Society in China

Kong Lingzhi, an expert advisory member of the Health China Action Promotion Committee, raised how the Cities Changing Diabetes project in Beijing was helping improve the health of elderly residents and was a positive example of practical action when dealing with ageing societies.

Kong spoke about how Cities Changing Diabetes encourages action and intervention beyond the formal healthcare system. She concluded that a comprehensive approach to solve health problems is very much in line with the policy of Healthy China Guidelines, and Cities Changing Diabetes could be used as a reference example to deal with the aging Chinese population. Superb feedback for our partners in China.
