World Resources Institute has opened its submission process for the 2021-2022 WRI Ross Center Prize for Cities. The competition is an opportunity to win a top prize of 250,000 US dollars and four runner-up prize pots of 25,000 USD each.
The Prize for Cities draws global attention to creative problem
solving, which transforms lives and celebrates the best work in
creating inclusive, resilient and low carbon cities. This year’s theme
is “Thriving Together in Turbulent Times,” reflecting the uncertainty
that cities face today. The judges are looking for exemplary
initiatives and projects that show how cities and communities can
respond to uncertainty, disruption and crisis. You can read more about
the theme here.
If you are part of an initiative that fits the bill, I
encourage you to start your application.
